I mean really, if you're gonna make a trapezoidal hole then put in trapezoidal exhaust outlets. Cadillac can do it why can't you Chevy?

yep, just you. I'm pretty okay with it.

Now it bothers me. GODDAMMNIT.

Actually, Cadillac can't either.

You might be. I love it. It's ridiculous in the best way. It looks like a musical instrument.

No it bothers me too

I'll take real tips over fake ones

Because trumpets.
Seriously, they look like trumpets sticking out of the back.
Plus, those exhausts look old school.

What bothers me more is cars with dual exhausts where it's not real - they just split off from a single pipe. I think my '97 SHO was like that. What's the story with this 'Vette?

It really bothers me.

It's a little odd, but I'd rather see the current set up than fake exhaust tips.

Am I the only person bothered by the entire rear of the Stingray?

It bothered me a bit when the car first came out, but I've grown to like it.

Corvettes have dual outlet exhausts that end with a muffler and two tips out of each muffler.

I just wish they weren't so shiny. Wish they had anodized them a smoked black

yes.

Also 4 tips is too many to all be equal distance from each other. There used to be two pairs that had some distance between the pairs.

I think the vent thingies that come out the side of the taillights are the worst.

I'm sorry you feel that way.
![]() 09/09/2014 at 21:38 |

No, you are not. The whole thing looks unfinished.

Looks fine to me. And Lime Rock Green!!!
![]() 09/09/2014 at 21:59 |

I agree that I prefer real tips over fake ones but if they weren't going to use some trapezoid like shape for the exhaust than why not just have a different opening. It just looks kind of unfinished.

How does this make you feel?
![]() 09/09/2014 at 22:03 |

no Cadillac worth buying had trapezoidal exhausts

If that's the underside of my model SHO, I fell a whole lot better. Thanks.

Nope. That's the original setup for the dual exhaust on the GTO when they brought it back. Pissed off a lot of people.

It is a thing of beauty.

That is strange

Sadly some C6 owners filled that gap with Corvette Flag themed chrome bits since it looked unfinished from certain angles.

So weird! I thought it was perfect before!
![]() 09/10/2014 at 01:23 |

The whole thing. The car just doesnt sing to me.

No

I liked it too. When I first got my 2008, I was tempted to buy a filler panel or something, but I came to my senses quickly.
Seems to be older gentlemen who buy the chrome bits. About 50% of the C6s in my area have something there. As if the car didn't already have enough Corvette logos on it!

This.

Haha I've seen so many older gentlemen with those types of mods. At least the chrome ones aren't as bad as the gold ones! Nothing looks worse than a Corvette with a bunch of gold bling on it!

Why would this piss people off?
